Yesterday I posted a picture of the blossom from my spineless cactus. I noted that the blossoms were the same as the ones on the prickly pear. Here is a picture of the bud and the blossom from a prickly pear that lives on our land as well. Notice the similarity? The only problem with cactus blossoms is that they are so fleeting.

Betts, I liked the other cactus blossom, but this one is great. I like the way there are 3 stages of blooms in the photo. You really have a great eye.
