I have lots of feeders out in my yard and the birds dine there morning, noon an evening. I enjoy watching them and trying to identify them using my Field Guide to the Birds of North America. This book was a gift to me from a friend, and I am enjoying being able to name my guests. I thought this guy was a purple finch, but after looking at the pictures of the Purple Finch and the House Finch, I am inclined to think this one is a House Finch because of the white wing bars. What do you think?
