This little guy flew into our front window and then landed softly in a large flower pot on the front porch. He was "out of it" for about 10 minutes, which gave me a chance to get some good close up shots....all the while keeping 2 drooling cats at bay. Mr. Red Cardinal looked like dinner to them, but he was just beautiful to me. After about 10 minutes, he fluffed his feathers and flew off. Now he and the Mrs. are building a nest in our pink crepe myrtle.
