"...Come Into My Parlor"

Will you walk into my parlor?" said the Spider to the Fly,
"'Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlor is up a winding stair,
And I have many curious things to show you when you are there."
"Oh no, no," said the Fly, "to ask me is in vain;
For who goes up your winding stair

can ne'er come down again."
( by Mary Howitt published in 1829.)

This beautiful spider is about 4 inches long from leg tip to leg tip and has built a 'parlor' or web across the entire width of our dining room window, which is at least 3 ft across. The thought of walking into a web like that gives me chills, but it's certainly a beautiful example of God's work.
