Waiting For Mama
These little birds just hatched out about 2 weeks ago. They live above the door of a local Mexican restaurant. This is the third set of babies to hatch out in this same nest. We don't know if the mama bird has had 3 families or if a new mama bird takes over the nest when the little ones learn to fly. They look mad, but it's just their wide little mouths, waiting for Mama or Daddy to bring them a snack. I wish I could get a clearer photograph, but it's hard to hold the camera still and stand on a window ledge all at the same time.
