I found this beautiful dragonfly "belly up" on the sidewalk at work - anything purple grabs my attention. It is a Keeled Skimmer, Orthetrum coerulescens. I was intrigued by the delicate, lacy wing pattern. I managed to pick it up and carry it home to try and get a decent photo. This is the best one but in no way compares to seeing it 'up close and personal'.
