Ice in January

Many people have the idea that Texas is a hot, dry state with little change in seasons. Texas is actually a state with many faces. She can be hot or cold, wet or dry, sunny or cloudy. She can be all of these in the same day if she feels like it! I took this shot in January of a boxwood coated in Ice.The ice only lasted a few days, but it was beautiful while it lasted. And since we do not have chains to make driving safe, I got to stay home from work. Such a sad situation.I actually heard a few people from up north laughing at us for staying home because of a little bad weather. ( I doubt if any one ever told them that we actually enjoy getting to stay home every once in a blue moon.)
